Shakira was left in awe at Rihanna’s talents after collaborating with her on the first single of her new album “Can’t Remember To Forget You”, as reported in an an exclusive interview with VEVO.
“Her voice in this song is just unreal. She is reggae. I don’t think I’ve ever heard a female singer deliver her lines in a reggae song with such authenticity,” Shakira said in the interview.
Shakira said to VEVO that it took a while for her to reach the point that she was happy with the album and felt sure about all the songs. Even with all the distractions of having a baby and being a judge on NBC’s The Voice, Shakira wants to let everyone know she can still do it, and she hopes this album with reflect that.
Her new album, still unnamed, has a release date set to March 25 and will include many big names artist and producers.
Shakira collaborated with other songwriters like Sia, Ester Dean and Ne-Yo. She also worked with some of the biggest producers such as Dutch DJ Afrojack, the continuing hit-maker RedOne, lead singer of LMFAO Redfoo, Dubstep producer Skrillex, Dutch producer and deejay Tiësto, and American record producer and singer Akon.
Ultimate Music is reporting that among the confirmed recorded songs for the new album are: ”Truth or Dare”, a dance-track produced by Dutch record producer Afrojack. The other track is entitled “Beautiful Disaster” and was also written by Raelene Argurin, John J Conte Jr. and Singh Jay. The tracks are scheduled to be included on Shakira’s next album album.
This album marks the first English language project the singer has worked on since 2009’s “She Wolf.”

Also remember that Shakira hasn’t forgotten about her native language, and she will be releasing an entirely Spanish version of the song “Nunca me acuerdo de olvidarte” on January 21 to all digital retailers. Sadly the Spanish version won’t have Rihanna on it.
