In a short but comical video, both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are shown texting each other talking about meeting for the Clasico in March.

The friendly conversation between the two heated rivals begins with Messi picking up his phone and sending a text message to Ronaldo saying, “LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CLASICO :)”

Ronaldo responds, “ME TOO. I LOVE SCORING AGAINST YOU A LOT! ;)”

What will 2013 look like for Lionel Messi?

Ronaldo hasn’t had much to laugh about during 2012, as he can only watch Messi break Gerd Muller’s record of 85 goals in one calendar year, as well as watch him win his fourth FIFA Ballon d’Or.

The conservation continues with Messi reponding by “HA HA! I SHOULD HAVE BROKEN SOME MORE RECORDS BY THEN :)”

They soon end their conversation with Messi saying “SEE YOU IN MARCH” and Ronaldo responding “CAN’T WAIT.”

When Barcelona and Real Madrid get together it always demands the world’s attention, and they should not disappoint in March.

Barcelona has the points lead over Real Madrid, as well as the best player on their side.

As for Real Madrid, fans can only hope for a less stressful year. Ronaldo seems to be happy again after comments claimed he was “unhappy” and didn’t feel he was appreciated by his teammates.

Madrid’s coach, Mourinho, has also added to his team’s disappointing season.

Mourinho has become public enemy No. 1 after benching Iker Casillas, who has held the goalkeeper position for 10 years.

Real Madrid has more questions than answers as they also dealt with Ricardo Kaka and a possible future club for the Brazilian star.

One thing is certain, both Messi and Ronaldo won’t be as friendly when both go up against each other for the latest edition of the Clasico.
