The comical Dominican-duo Juan Bago and “O” from New York’s Washington Heights are at it again with their latest spoof “Ay C.O.N.O.” a Dominican version of Lil Wayne and Drake’s song, “The Motto.”
The inspiration behind the spoof was bromance.
With music and men, and most of the industry being sensitive, we wanted to tackle bromance among best friends, Juan Bago told VOXXI.
“So what better trio then Drake, Lil Wayne and Baby,” he added.
Juan Bago and “O”– born Michael Diaz and Oscar Martinez– made a name for themselves when their hit spoof videos “Pan con Queso” and “Dominis in the Heights“ went viral, reaching over a million views on YouTube. Both videos are now on Music Choice on demand, Mun2 and MTV3.

Heights Entertainment announced the release of the”Ay C.O.N.O” video Thursday on YouTube and Vimeo and it was quickly picked up for national rotation to mun2 and MTV Tr3s. The video took five days to film and the team spent about a month in post-production. This is the group’s third video to land on the bilingual channels’ rotation.
Juan Bago and “O” keep true to their Dominican roots and hood by filming the video in Washington Heights.
“We love using our neighborhood as a character in our videos, “said Juan Bago, “So many locations have a great look and feel to it… we like to add some Dominican flavor to every spoof since there is material there, and it’s alway great to show a bigger audience our style of comedy.”
Their spoof, based off the motto “You Only Live Once” or Y.O.L.O., takes on the acronym based off the Spanish word coño, meaning damn. The group dropped the ñ and got C.O.N.O an acronym for “Cry Over No One.”
In the video Juan Bago who plays Drake Bago and “O” or Tio Wayne lean on each other during heartbreak. The rejected Drake Bago is seen getting tattoos of women who dump him or ignore him entirely.
The comedic duo plan on producing three more videos this summer in three different music genres: pop, dembow and rap.
But it doesn’t end there. The team has their sights set on branching out to more original scripted content for TV and webisodes, said Juan Bago.
Fans will have to stay tuned!
